I’m so happy to introduce the work of Lauren Gray, the artist behind Stone & Violet! Each of Lauren’s beautiful pieces draw inspiration from elements of the natural world, with works ranging from hand-built wood shelves, to prints of her pencil drawings, to her stunning crystal & gemstone collections. I first came across Lauren’s lovely Emily Dickinson print on etsy, and was then blown away by her crystal & gem curios. Located in the Philadelphia area, you can find her goods on etsy, as well as the Stone & Violet webshop. Be sure to check out both to see her full collections.
Andrew’s Reclaimed offers a little bit of everything – all in gorgeous reclaimed wood full of color and character. He throws in a little bit of metal, adding the perfect accent right where it is needed. He isn’t afraid to show the wood with all its scrapes and bruises from its lifetime of being a barn or maybe a factory floor. He will work with you to find your comfort level of reclaimed wood and does custom orders.
Top left: wall hooks are one of my many mini-obsessions. These ones, as Mary Poppins would say, are “practically perfect in every way”.
Top right: this docking station sure beats the mess of phone cords.
Bottom left: this desktop caddy takes me to a very happy place.
Bottom right: many different options for wooden succulent pots. There is something about the raw wood and the green plump texture of the succulent that is a perfect match!
Thank you Andrew and Melissa for offering beautiful – custom – purposeful hand made goods at such great prices!
HRUSKAA: hanging mobiles, hanging planters, and much more; all with an elegant aesthetic and impressive creative function. I want to put the whole store in my shopping cart! I have long felt that air plants were unjustly treated as they laid alone and neglected on tables and book shelves. Inspired holders for air plants were hard to find – until now! HRUSKAA has provided planters as unique and inspiring as air plants themselves.
The best of Etsy – oh where to begin? I vote Etsy one of the best websites on the web. It’s full of wonders and possibility because it’s full of things you are in love with but don’t know it. I didn’t know that gold Scandinavian inspired air plant holders existed – but it was love at first sight! It’s such a joy to see something both new and beautiful. Your eyes light up as they take in a design that is unique and functional and unfamiliar all at once. In this case the delicate simplicity of the strong geometric shapes of the hanging planters is just perfect. Etsy offers these moments over and over again.
Etsy is a world of handmade and vintage items just waiting for you to explore. In addition, there is an authentic connection to the people behind the products. In our world of mass produced goods, Etsy is the calm in the storm. But a very large calm it is. Etsy has exploded since it launched in 2005 and the ever growing nature of the site makes finding the best things offered more and more challenging. BEST OF ETSY will highlight favorite shops on the site so be prepared for the happiness of love at first site!
